Hello everyone! Welcome to the Perspectives on Health Learning Community blog. My name is Johnathan Nieves and I am your learning community coordinator (L.C.C.). Below please find photos of our most recent event, the First Learning Community Dinner which took place on Monday the 1st of September. I hope that you all enjoyed the food and conversation generated during our group breakout sessions and developed a better understanding of what the Dickinson Learning Communities, particularly the Perspectives on Health Learning Community, are all about. While the first few weeks may be hectic for you, I implore you to use me, your fellow peers and your first year seminar professors as resources to help you along the way. Another thing, we appreciate your feedback! If there was anything you didn’t like, something you would like to do as a seminar or collectively as a Learning Community, let me or your respective seminar professor know. If you wish to comment or make a suggestion anonymously, you can do so by submitting me a comment in my Honesty Box on facebook or by slipping a note under my door. I am conveniently located on the second floor of Drayer, Room 240 and can be contacted at 717-240-6063. Our next event, the trip to the U.S. National Library of Medicine in Bethasda, MD, is scheduled for Monday October 6th and we will meet at 7:00AM in the ATS parking lot. In the meantime, should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. Also, if you haven’t already done so, please join the Perspectives on Health Learning Community group on facebook. It can be accessed via the link below (Note: You must be logged in to be able to access the site). Enjoy the photos!
