Horizontal-Vertical

This picture was taken for the Contrast project. I originally took it for the horizontal-vertical component, with the table and the parasol pole. I didn’t rotate it, because I thought that it was more ambiguous this way. I wasn’t sure what else to do with this, and so I decided to go to the extreme with the colors. I played with the levels and then the hue/saturation, making the photo more red/yellow rather than the cooler blue/purple filter. This is an interesting picture, but I like pictures better when they are natural looking, but digitally enhanced, so I’m not sure if I like this picture very much.

Ballet Slippers

This image was part of the first project: the scavenger hunt. I took it as a picture of something important, because it it precious to its owner. To adjust it, I used the curves feature in Photoshop, as well as the color balance to make it bright pink and purple. I like this picture because it no longer looks like ordinary ballet slippers, but more like they are the star of the show under very bright stage lighting. This was the only Scavenger Hunt picture that I liked.
