Biographical Information:

Brenda Luckett is a special education teacher in Clarkesdale.  She was born and raised in Clarkesdale, Mississippi, and attended the University of Mississippi soon after it integrated.

Interview Information:

Ms. Luckett discusses education from the teachers perspective.  She offers a comparison of general education and education for special needs children before and after the civil rights movement.  As the goddaughter of the late civil rights activist, Dr. Aaron Henry, Ms. Luckett offers a perspective on his work, as well as more general civil rights activism in Coahoma County.
