Biographical Information:

Charles Reid was born and raised in Coahoma County, Mississippi.  He attended college and spent a short time in the military before working for a few years in Boston and then Texas.  Upon returning to the Mississippi Delta, he taught and then administered Coahoma Community College.  He is now retired.

Interview Information:

Mr. Reid discusses the history of Coahoma Community College, and more general education in the Mississippi Delta.  He details some of the racial politics in Coahoma, including the Head Start and Coahoma Opportunities Inc. programming.
