Biographical Information:

Mrs. Emma Johnson was born in Tunica County, Mississippi.  She had her husband began sharecropping, eventually acquiring and running several thousand acres of farm land, and the Lula Cotton Gin.  She is now the matriarch of a farming family.

Mrs. Johnson discusses farming and sharecropping in the Delta.  She details the chronology of her family’s farm.
