In the spirit of the holidays and in keeping with this trip’s theme of service, the ‘Roots Team visited the Wisdom Academic Complex to hand out crayons to its students. Donated by Audrey Scott* and her family (Thank you!), the crayons were a big hit. The students loved them. The Wisdom Academic Complex is an Anglophone school located in the Biyem-Assi neighborhood of Yaoundé. Check out the pictures below to see some shots of our visit there.

*Audrey Scott participated in the Dickinson-in-Cameroon program in the spring of 2012. During her stay in Yaounde, she volunteered her spare time as a teacher’s assistant at the Wisdom Academic Complex. So great to see other Dickinson-in-Cameroon alums continuing to think back to their time in Cameroon and wanting to give back.

i think what you’ve done is phenomenal. To care for children you’ve never met, for people they’ve never met to given them a gift is inspirational
