Dickinson Students Presenting Their Research, 2010

You can become involved in community-based research in three ways.

  1. Certain courses in Economics, Health Studies, Policy Studies, Psychology, and Sociology routinely partner with local organizations to conduct research on partners’ behalf.  Look for such courses when planning your schedule!
  2. Individual students may carry out independent or collaborative research with Dickinson faculty, in cooperation with a community partner. Sometimes, students cultivate a relationship with the community organization, but faculty themselves often have contacts that can be developed into specific research projects. Ask faculty about such opportunities.
  3. Contact Prof. Skelton for breaking information about research opportunities, and he will help you in searching for a match with your interests and skills. (717) 245-1309 |
