For those of you unfamiliar with the term “lampshade hanging,” it’s a technique where the writer deals with immersion-breaking elements or potential criticisms by calling attention to them. Hence, P.A.’s calling attention to the similarities between City of Glass and Don Quixote is an example of lampshade hanging. See www.tvtropes.org for more information.
Unfortunately the scanner couldn’t pick up the writing well and I couldn’t get the needed detail with a sharpie. Also the reader really should rotate the comic while reading it, which can’t be done on a computer. I’ll bring a hard copy to class. Also the image needed to be really large so it doesn’t appear well on the dashboard. Just click on it.
Commentary: This is just a test.
