EMILY BOWIE, Dickinson class of 2014, spent the spring semester of 2012 creating this online database. Creation involved video watching, editing, uploading, archiving, and describing as well as blog creation. In the preceding semester she was a member of the Global Mosaic 2011 group that attended the United Nations 17th Conference of the Parties on climate change in Durban, South Africa. While on the trip she conducted interviews and research concerning the origin of climate adaptation initiatives in the East Africa region – many of these interviews can be viewed within the database.
At Dickinson College Emily has also served as Intern Supervisor for the Dickinson Idea Fund, Editor-In-Chief of The “E” – Dickinson’s Online Environmental Newspaper, a student worker of the Dickinson College Farm and Vice President of EarthNow. She has done blog and media work for all of these organizations.
