I came to open hours at The Handlebar, Dickinson’s bike co-op on March 3, 2020 with my camera hoping to find some interesting and expressive content and I found exactly what I was looking for! The Handlebar was busy, filled with students coming through with damaged bikes and volunteers eager to help and get their hands dirty. When I walked in, everyone was very focused and pensive while some obscure rock album was playing in the background. A broken chain was being repaired, a brake cable was being tightened, and a wheel was being trued. This is just a glimpse into life at The Handlebar. Hope you enjoyed it!
