Our Thanksgiving Dinner By The Numbers

ThanksgivingEveryone here at Dickinson Dining Services has heard your messages of thanks for last evening’s Thanksgiving Dinner and we appreciate it. All of our employees agree that if it wasn’t for our customers, especially you students, our jobs would be a little less fun.

Here’s a look at the numbers behind our Thanksgiving Dinner:

1,673: That’s the number of guests we served last night.
667: Pounds of turkey served.
320: Pounds of mashed potatoes from the Dickinson College Farm served.
288: Slices of pumpkin pie served.
160: Pounds of stuffing served.
82: Dedicated employees needed to make the event happen.
32: Pounds of cheese from Keswick Creamery in Newberg, Pa. served.
5: That’s how many buffet lines were open, including The KOVE.

Thanks again to everyone who attended. We hope that last night was the first of many turkey dinners you eat in the coming weeks.
