With only a couple weeks left to my internship, it’s crunch time back at the office. We want to take the opportunity of the conference-exhibition hybrid project and create video series from it. However, a longer, more in depth video will take another few weeks to complete. So to keep our conference participants happy with post-production updates, we needed to upload a photo gallery and create a short impression video. That is what I spent the entire week working on.
If you’re going to be living in your own apartment during your internship, I would recommend finding roommates/flatmates. Especially if you’re living in a brand new city. Roommates equal automatic friends. When I first arrived in Antwerp, I only knew four people, and those were people that I worked with. So, when I was looking for an apartment to stay in, I looked for ones with roommates/flatmates.
This weekend, I took a train to meet up with my flatmates at the capital of Belgium, Brussels. We were there for the Couleur Cafe music festival. It was a major festival with musicians traveling from all over the world. Being at the festival with my flatmates meant that I was introduced to their friends as well. Belgium is well-known for their music festivals, so I was glad to have the opportunity to experience this side of the culture.
