Free Tour of Dickinson College Farm

August 31st, 10:00am-11:00am

This Labor Day weekend, the Dickinson College Farm will serve as a Cumberland County destination for the South Mountain Outdoors (SMO) 2013 Festival, a celebration of the outdoors. Farm staff and students will host a free one-hour guided tour of the 50-acre, USDA certified organic farm, including its vegetable-production and animal-pasture acreage and the farm’s sustainable energy technologies. South Mountain Outdoors, organized by the South Mountain Partnership, is a weekend-long celebration of outdoor recreation, natural resources, cultural destinations and place-based businesses that give the South Mountain region its unique sense of place and quality of life. Experience Cumberland County Agriculture Farm Tours

Saturday, October 5th, 10:00am-2:00pm

553 Park Drive, Boiling Springs, PA

Visitors are encouraged to arrive on the hour, starting at 10:00am and ending at 1:00pm for a guided tour.  Pamphlets will be available for self-guided tours anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Penn State Extension and Cumberland County Ag Partners invite the public to an open farm tour event. Five farms from the area will open their homes and businesses to the public to educate consumers on how their food is produced. Cumberland County PA is rooted in agricultural history and this event is a chance to showcase the diversity of the industry in our backyard.
