Rodney Morgan, local producer of gourmet mushrooms will take us down the road less traveled, cultivating edible fungi! The workshop will cover the basics of mushroom production, including isolating cultures and expanding to production spawn, grow room and outdoor log management plus demonstrations on starting shiitake and oyster mushrooms. Come taste the possibilities!
Fee: $8 PASA or DC Farm CSA member/$10 non-member
Optional: You can inoculate your own mushroom log to take home after the workshop! If you’d like to take home your own log to grow at home, please choose the “plus mushroom log” with an additional $12 materials fee above.
