Hi There!

My name is Kenze Burkhart and I am a senior Archaeology/Anthropology major.

This is my first semester as a student farm worker! However, I discovered my love for organic farming a few summers ago. I love working in the outdoors, getting my hands dirty, and ending the day with sore muscles. Whenever possible I ride my bike to and from my farm shifts, and those rides are often the highlight of my week! Farming has provided me with a greater understanding of food production, especially the difficulties associated with organic farming. It’s hard to describe the pride you feel when you see the finished product of your work; I’m always excited to check out the salad bar and see what farm veggies are there. I’m currently managing the farm blog and Facebook, and it’s likely you’ll find me at POP making pizza. I just learned how to work the oven!

On campus I am also currently the house manager of the Treehouse, and the president of the Outing Club.
