“My name is Sam Kilburn, I am a sophomore biology major from Acton, Massachusetts. This is my second semester working on the college farm, and my fifth year in a row being employed at a farm. On campus I am involved in the Jive Turkeys (Dickinson’s ultimate frisbee team), the outing club, club soccer, intramural soccer, the treehouse and Dickinson’s radio show. In addition to the farm, I also work at the rock wall as a monitor. One of the things I love about the farm is working in the winter. Winter usually means working in the greenhouses, working with the animals, or splitting wood, all activities that I love to do. It is especially wonderful to work in a 60 degree greenhouse when it’s 20 degrees outside.”
