Farm Spotlight: Wes Lickus

“Hey I’m Wesley, I am from Yarmouth, Maine and have recently declared an environmental science major. This is my first semester working on the Dickinson College Farm. I have had a great time working out on the farm so far, especially on Monday afternoons, and Saturday mornings. It has been so great to be able to get off campus, breathe some fresh air, and get my hands dirty! So far, my favorite farm job has been harvesting carrots, for they are one of my favorite vegetables. This year has given me new respect for the important of local food in our lives. The farm has helped me understand how much endless care and effort is put into the vegetables we eat.”
