summer banner1Hey folks! It’s getting hot in Carlisle. As the temperature  rises and  we try to stay cool the summer interns are still  hard at work on our    various projects. Over the last few  weeks we have been doing a lot of  paperwork… (wait, I  thought school was over!? …. just kidding, it’s  tons of fun!). We’ve been working on executive documents with  various administrators which will hopefully be done soon. Unfortunately they won’t be up online until September since the new board will have to go over and approve them, but now you can sleep soundly because our plan is on paper (or at least we can).
In addition, intern Tim O’Reilly has been hard at work organizing the Student Handiwork for Organized Projects (SHOP) initiative. Ever wanted to learn carpentry, electrical work, landscaping, or any other work that facilities management workers do? Well this apprenticeship program will be your opportunity to get your hands dirty and learn from the professionals! If you’re interested in this project feel free to contact Tim by email.
MB Logan and Emily Bowie have been working with our advisers Ken Shultes and Dan Webster to come up with a plan for our new office space! Check out the gallery below for some pictures about what it currently looks like (it was a Dickinson apartment last year!). The 169 High St. office will be open to the whole Dickinson community as a space to hangout, do homework, create, innovate and network. The plans are still in the beginning stages so if you have any ideas on how it could be used or what we could have in it let us know through a comment or email (Emily Bowie and MB Logan).
We are looking forward to July when Giovania Tiarachristie, JJ Luceno, Megan Moody and Eller Mallchock will be around to help us out!
Stay tuned for more updates soon! And stay cool!
