This cable is generally used for microphones when being used with floor stands, but can be used anytime an XLR cable is needed. Shorter cables (such as for use with a desk stand) and coiled cables (for use with video cameras which have an XLR port) are also available.

Wii game consoles can be used in the Studio room of the Media Center. A collection of Wii games are available. It is a Japanese Wii and is useful for Japanese language practice as well as recreation.
Shoe mount bracket is used to mount multiple devices, for example, a video camera and a microphone.
The phone recording adapter is used to record phone conversations. One end of the adapter plugs to the phone and the other to the voice recorder.
The Media Center has several types of tripods available for use with our video and still cameras. Using a tripod can help when you need to set up a stable video shot or line up a picture just right. Dollies are also available for use with the tripods.
Transcription pedal can connect to your PC or Mac via USB to control the playback of dictation. The pedals allow you to start and stop the audio without moving your hands from your keyboard, allowing for faster audio transcription We also have transcription software available in the Media Center.
An audiotape transcriber is a tool for the transcription and annotation of speech signals for linguistic research. It supports multiple hierarchical layers of segmentation, named entity annotation, speaker lists, topic lists, and overlapping speakers.
The Media Center has a variety of speaker sets available which can be used with a computer. These can be used to boost audio for a presentation or when showing video.
