Mexican drug cartels move deeper into United States to maximize profits

There are 2 similar articles here on a drug cartel in Mexico. They discuss how the cartels will do anything to increase their profits. The drug cartels have been using violence against enemies or competitors and are now venturing further into the United States, especially by hiring U.S. soldiers to do their kills in the U.S. The “Kingpin” of the cartel has been named the number one public enemy to the city of Chicago. I find it interesting how powerful this drug cartel has become.

    This article showed the incentive for the Mexican drug cartel to expand its operation into the United States where they have the potential to increase profits. They remove the middlemen and send their own agents into American territory to handle drug distribution; thus their profit increases. It was interesting to learn about the Mexican drug cartel and how their business directly correlates to the information we have been learning in class;

    It’s scary to think that the Mexican drug cartels have so much influence here in the U.S. that they can even have American soldiers do their killing. Even the Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is worried, warning a legislative committee that they “are taking over our neighborhoods.” Guess I have to keep a wary eye out even here in PA.
