wind power poem

Here is a poem by my poet about wind turbines. Being free verse, and not having much in my opinion to make it otherwise especially pleasing to read, I don’t care for this poem much, but I do appreciate the environmentalism my poet is trying to show and there are elements of the poem that I like as well, such as the fact that she alludes to Don Quixote. I think the point she makes at the end is a good one, if somewhat obvious. I suppose that is the real problem I have with this poem: I feel like she is not saying anything new and consequently, there is no point to the poem except add to the overall call for clean energy. Although, that is not to say that that in itself isn’t reason enough to write it. You can read for yourself and see what you think:
