Bob Hicok is from Michigan and worked in auto factories. In some of his poetry he addresses the economic situation in Michigan and the Auto-Industry. Here is a news clip where he reads poetry relating to economic effects on his family after addressing the problems in Michigan. Pretty interesting.

I enjoyed the video, as well as Hicok’s commentary. It was interesting to hear Hicok discuss the motivation for some of his work also.
