Each semester, Russian language students meet over Skype with students from the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Higher School for Economics, Dickinson’s partner institutions in Moscow. Most recently, the Russian 202 group (4th semester Russian) met virtually to discuss travel—where they have been, what they experienced when there were there, and what they still want to see. Pairs meet for 1 hour, spending half the time speaking in Russian and the second half in English. When these students will travel to Russia in fall 2020 on the Dickinson-in-Moscow program, they will meet many of these same Russian students in person at university events and on cultural excursions.
