Russian Professor Hosts Podcast

Prof. Iza Savenkova is completing her second year as Visiting International Scholar in the Russian Department at Dickinson. She holds a MA in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language from Lomonosov Moscow State University and is currently working towards her PhD in the same field, with a focus on Russian for Specific Purposes. She is also a regular instructor at the Middlebury College Summer Language Institute.

In addition, Prof. Savekova is a host for the TeachRussian.org Foreign Language Teaching Podcast. In this episode, she interviews the authors of a new textbook focused on heritage speakers of Russian. Heritage speakers are those students who grew up speaking Russian in some capacity in their home life.
