Working in all types of environments, it is very useful to be versatile in your skillset. However, this task is increasingly important when working in an office involving emergency services. Thinking back to my internship search versatility and open-mindedness is what brought me to this internship. I was searching for a law internship however law and politics tend to have pertinent relationships many different fields . I applied to this internship for the great research opportunities that It would provide but had not even imagined the ways in which it would also allow me to explore my interests in law and politics. After applying I shortly was scheduled for an interview. After arriving home in Philadelphia I received a fellowship offer from the Office of Emergency Management and was elated to accept. A large part of receiving this acceptance included researching the office thoroughly prior to the interview and reviewing all aspects of my resume both old and new. When considering internships it is always useful to consider its relation to your college experience but more importantly its relation to your life. This allows interviewers to get a better understanding of you in just a few words while it also gives reason for you to be fully invested in your experience. #DickinsonInternTip By the end of your internship you should exceed the expectations set by your supervisor however, excel at your own pace success has no time limit.
