One of the sources I am interested in exploring further is a book written by Susan Smith,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Toy Story: How Pixar Reinvented the Animated Feature<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(2018)<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Pixar, the world-renowned production company, was founded in 1986 in California. Toy Story\u00a0<\/span>was the<\/span>\u00a0first release, coming out in 1995. O<\/span>ther\u00a0<\/span>timeless animated films like \u201cA Bug\u2019s Life\u201d, \u201cMonsters, Inc.\u201d<\/span>, and \u201cFinding Nemo\u201d were produced prior to Disney acquiring the company for approximately $7.4 billion in 2006.<\/span>\u00a0Susan Smith is a senior lecturer and professor\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0film studies at the University of Sunderland in England.\u00a0<\/span>She\u00a0<\/span>has been teaching there for almost twenty-five years, since 1998<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Most of her work centers around A<\/span>l<\/span>fred\u00a0<\/span>Hitchcock<\/span>, one of the most influential filmmakers of all time.<\/span>\u00a0Her most successful work about Hitchcock is her book\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Hitchcock: Suspense,\u00a0<\/span>Humour<\/span>, and Tone\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(2000).<\/span>\u00a0She is also the author of the chapter \u201cHitchcock as Saboteur\u201d<\/span>, co-authoring\u00a0<\/span>the book\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Alfred Hitchcock: Centenary Essays\u00a0<\/span><\/span>(1999)<\/span>\u00a0with Richard Allen and Ishii Gonzales<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0She has a plethora of articles about Hitchcock, her most successful being \u201c<\/span>Cineaction<\/span>\u00a0(1999)- The Spatial World of Hitchcock\u2019s Films\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0As her time at the University of Sunderland has gone on, she has shifted her focus to animated film and musicals.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
