Yalla, Come One and All!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>On Thursday, October 21, 2021 at noon, <\/strong><strong>Xenia Makosky, the President of the Arabic Club at Dickinson discussed one of the most prestigious and highly competitive educational and cultural programs of the US Department of Education: The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program.\u00a0 As a recipient of this intensive language and cultural immersion program in the summer of 2021, Xeni (Zeena) shared her personal experience while providing useful tips on the application process and answering student questions. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Everyone enjoyed pizza while learning about this educational opportunity and how to maximize one\u2019s chances of being selected.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Under this program, undergraduate and graduate university students spend eight to ten\u00a0weeks abroad studying one of\u00a015 critical languages (of which Arabic is one).
