While in Mendoza I had so many rewarding and transformative experiences both at UNCUYO and within my host family. Being able to live in Argentina for the semester made me confident in my Spanish and solidified my academic interest in Latin American studies, setting me on a path to pursue a career related to the region. Traveling to many different regions of the country—the north, patagonia and Buenos Aires—was one of the highlights of my time abroad. Because of my experience abroad, I ended up writing my thesis on migration to Argentina which led me to pursue my masters in Latin American studies at Georgetown University. I am so grateful for my experience in Argentina as it has opened so many doors for me.
