Biographical Information:
Mr. Donnell Harrell grew up in Columbia, Mississippi. He attended Natchez Junior College (now Natchez College) and Alcorn College (now Alcorn State University). He taught at Higgins High School in Coahoma County, and later became superintendent of the school board.
Interview Information:
Mr. Harrell details the chronology of educational segregation in Coahoma County and in the Mississippi Delta. He discusses the implications of poverty and education, as well as racial relations.
