Marks of its 1,200-year-old history are still visible in the historic market square, where the Town Hall and\u00a0<i>Roland<\/i>\u00a0statue have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cathedral, and the\u00a0<i>Schnoor<\/i>, a residential quarter, date back to medieval times. A bronze statue of the\u00a0<i>Bremen Town Musicians<\/i>\u00a0honors the famous fairy tale by the Grimm Brothers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Historic Bremen\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_aJ7DHeA3qo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Culturally, Bremen offers a variety of events throughout the year. From Germany\u2019s oldest local fair, the\u00a0<i>Bremer Freimarkt<\/i>, to the traditional\u00a0<i>Christmas Market<\/i>, Bremen never runs out of events. Museums like the\u00a0<i>Bremer Kunsthalle<\/i>, as well as theaters, restaurants (especially at the Weser promenade\u00a0<i>Schlachte<\/i>), bars, and the alternative quarter\u00a0<i>Viertel <\/i>allow for a wide range of activities. Bremen is also home to a number of other international corporations, such as Mercedes-Benz, Mondelez, Jacobs Coffee, and Beck\u2019s beer (Anheuser-Busch InBev).
