Mikkelson<br \/>\nUniversity of Hawai\u2019i at Hilo<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Sh\u014db\u014dgenz\u014d Zuimonki<\/em> provides a good introduction to D\u014dgen\u2019s ideas about the virtues possessed by \u201cthe good person.\u201d His depiction includes, but extends beyond, the conception of a \u201cmorally good\u201d human being. This is evident by the number of \u201cnonmoral\u201d virtues that are manifest in the text. Edmund Pincoffs presents a schematization of numerous virtues based on his conception of virtues and vices as dispositional properties that provide ground for preference or avoidance of persons.
