Hello fellow readers, bakers, and/or scientists,

My name is Mary and I am a college student from Massachusetts. Ever since I was little, I’ve enjoyed baking. One of my favorite desserts to make are cookies, especially during the holiday season. From chocolate chips cookies to sugar cookies, I love them all and I love eating them with a cold glass of almond milk. When I saw that my school offered a class called Chemistry in the Kitchen, I jumped at the chance to sign up for it due to my interest in baking. I was curious to learn why some of my baked goods didn’t turn out the way I expected. I was even curious to know why some of my baked goods turned out to look exactly like the photo on the recipe I followed. Although I don’t plan on becoming a professional baker or a chemist, this class has been amazing thus far. It has not only taught me the science behind food but it has also given me knowledge I can apply to everyday baking and cooking. I hope all the readers who ended up on this website will explore more due to curiosity or maybe to learn how to perfect a certain dish!
