Food has always been a part of life, whether that has been helping my grandma preparing the masa for the tamales, cutting the fruits with my Tia on a hot summer day, or simply cooking for my family alone, it has always been there in my life. It was a way for my family to come together whenever we hadn&#8217;t seen each other in quite some time. Even if we were not able to eat together, the food we made was always a reminder that we would always support one another. Now, taking this course, I am able to learn more about the basics of what I am cooking and eating.
