Graduation Letter to DCCM Dickinson College Class of 2020

Dickinson Catholic Campus Ministry (DCCM) Letter to the Dickinson College Class of 2020

Dear DCCM Dickinson College Class of 2020,

This evening would have been your graduation Mass, but due to the circumstances with the coronavirus and the subsequent move of our semester online, this Mass is not able to be held. However, we want to take to the time to recognize each of you and your accomplishments over the past four years. You have shown immense dedication to the academic and extracurricular life of Dickinson College, and we, along with so many others at Dickinson, are grateful for these contributions.

We are saddened that we are not able to recognize these achievements in person, but we certainly hope to recognize these achievements in person one day. There is understandably a lot of uncertainty regarding the future right now, but our faith gives us hope, strength, wisdom, and discernment that can help guide us through this timeWe hope that some of these aspects of our faith may strengthen you along the way as you look to the future

Some of the greatest lessons at college do not come from the classroom, but through our faith in Jesus Christ. Especially at this time, one of the lessons we can take from our faith is the message associated with the image of the Divine Mercy, “Jesus, I trust in you.” We hope that wherever you go from here, you may carry this message of hope, trust, and confidence in Jesus Christ who is the source of our strength and faith.

May God bless you, and congratulations on your graduation from Dickinson College!

God Bless,

Dickinson Catholic Campus Ministry (DCCM)
