The mission of Dickinson Catholic Campus Ministry (DCCM) is to facilitate an encounter with Jesus Christ through the sacraments and community. Thus, we make our pillars Christ, Community and Dickinson.
Christ
Dickinson Catholic Campus Ministry facilitates an encounter with Jesus Christ first and foremost through the celebration of the Sunday Mass, normally held at 3:00 P.M. in the Allison Hall Interfaith Chapel. Through the Mass, we come to encounter Jesus Christ in the gift of his body and blood. We also encounter Christ through the sacrament of Penance & Reconciliation, also known as Confession. Confession is offered on Sundays before Mass from 2:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. We also offer other opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ through adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Bible Studies, and the praying of the Rosary, as scheduled.
Community
Dickinson Catholic Campus Ministry’s community is first and foremost rooted in Christ and his Church. The opportunities to encounter Christ in DCCM are also opportunities to encounter community. We create a strong sense of fellowship and community through each event we hold from Sunday Mass to our praying of the Rosary. We also create community through social events such as hikes and meals together. Through these opportunities we are able to get to know each other better and support each other as we work together to build a community of believers in Jesus Christ at Dickinson.
Dickinson
We are first and foremost a ministry to the students of Dickinson College and Penn State Dickinson Law School. Our ministry is not separated from the schools, and our members are very much members of both communities. We seek to carry Christ out into our communities, particularly the communities present at Dickinson College and Penn State Dickinson Law School.
