As introduced to us, the idea of a digital edition was already too wide to talk about a broad subject that was viewed and reviewed by professionals hundreds of times. That is why, in a common decision, we decided to elaborate and publish a digital edition of a text written by George Orwell. Reading this, you might think that him being a famous, well-known author of the 20th century, the easy choice was Animal Farm<\/em>, or Nineteen Eighty-Four<\/em>, but no. We decided to publish a digital edition of The Lesser Evil<\/em>, a poem published in 1936, among others written by George Orwell that did not make him famous in his young years. Debating themes such a morality among the choice of believing, religion in life, and legitimacy of the church, the poem gets the reader to reflect on religion in a time period evolving around conflict and tensions, in 1936.<\/p>\n

This project aims to trace a better understanding of The Lesser Evil<\/em>, as well as studying Orwell’s poems globally.<\/p>\n
