Seasonal Interpretive Ranger

The HR Customer Services and Solutions group is currently accepting applications to fill up to 1 temporary positions at Captain John Smith National Historic Trail and associated stories throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. The trail connects a variety of local, state and national parks, historic sites and refuges in multiple states. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time. Appointments under this announcement are eligible for rehire and/or extension (when initial appointment is less than 1039 hours) if workload and funding allow. Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: June 2015
The position will be located in the National Park Service Chesapeake Bay Office. Information about programs managed by this office can be found at http://baygateways.net .  This office represents the NPS in the state/federal Chesapeake Bay Program partnership, coordinated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in Annapolis, MD.
