The Food-Energy-Water Nexus Conference

The National Council for Science and the Environment’s (NCSE) winter conference on The Food-Energy-Water Nexus is coming up and Dickinson’s Center for Sustainability Education (CSE) needs your help!

>> Details and student responsibilities
Dickinson students have been some of the most helpful volunteers in past years and we hope this year is no different. CSE will select three interested students to send as volunteers, i.e., the $400 conference registration is waived in return for volunteer service. Students will be responsible for organizing their own transportation and lodging. CSE will provide administrative assistance in organizing with other students.

>> About the Conference
“Addressing the interconnected systems involving food, water and energy is critical to achieving solutions to one of the most pressing issues facing our planet. The conference will address how to provide food, energy and water for a population of 9 billion by mid-century without overwhelming our environment. Join over 1,000 leaders in science, technology, government, business, civil society, and education to create strategies and initiatives that move policy into practice and transform ideas into action.”

>> When and Where?
January 19 – 21, 2016 at the Washington, DC National Airport in Crystal City, Virginia.
