From March 10-14, young people all over the state will connect with each other on climate justice, social justice and human rights issues, build organizing and leadership skills, and develop a grassroots strategy to fight back and win in 2017, and beyond. Our goal is to build a stronger student network so we can really make a difference on our campuses and in our communities.
Student Power Spring Break will take place at a Girl Scout camp 30 minutes north of Harrisburg. We’re going to have organizing and strategy sessions, issue and skill based workshops, an action or lobby day in Harrisburg, as well as hiking, bonfires, and films. Each day we will have panels on various topics, including, women and LGBTQ rights, racism and immigrant justice, justice in Higher Ed, and environmental justice.
Hopefully a small group from Dickinson can attend. For more information and to register please go tobit.ly/paspringbreak.
