What:
“As a Geospatial Specialist 1, you will serve as the District Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Coordinator and will be responsible for integrating watershed monitoring and management into forest planning and implementation. Your work will be crucial in supporting the district’s goals related to habitat, recreation, and operation, and you will play a key role in adapting these plans to meet changing needs. Additionally, you will manage district watershed and stream monitoring data sets; assist district managers in collecting, maintaining, and utilizing spatial data; and work with forestry staff in utilizing spatial technologies. As this is a professional forester position, you will assist in all levels of state forest resource management activities assigned by your supervisor.”
Required Experience:
- “Minimum two-year degree in relevant natural science field with GIS certificate or equivalent demonstration of competency in spatial technology and GIS applications through coursework, research, or job experience.”
