“CBF’s Environmental Protection and Restoration department defends and restores the Chesapeake Bay by protecting the Bay’s natural resources from pollution and other harmful activities by fighting for strong and effective laws and regulations; restoring the Bay’s essential habitats and filtering mechanisms; and involving citizens in CBF’s environmental efforts by recruiting, training, and incorporating them as effective partners and leaders.”

“Serve as a field staff member of CBF’s Pennsylvania’s Watershed Resiliency Program team. Primary responsibilities include leading and implementing agricultural and land-based restoration projects; managing and developing innovative wetland and riparian restoration programs; and collaborating, coordinating, and communicating with partners and agencies to assist with a variety of projects and promote funding in targeted watersheds within the south-central region of Pennsylvania’s Chesapeake Bay Watershed, specifically Adams and York Counties.”

Qualifications:

“Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or experience commensurate. Background and one–three years of experience in the fields of agronomy, forestry, and restoration is preferred. Proficiency in use of computers and applications relevant to conservation is expected. Preferred candidate must be willing to participate in NRCS Planner certification trainings and educational offerings. Knowledge of agricultural best management practices and implementation of agricultural conservation practices is highly desired.”

Salary Range: $58,000 – $62,000
