Who We Are: LEAF’s mission is to cultivate youth leaders from diverse backgrounds through meaningful work in the food system. We are a year-round workplace for youth, 14-18, who are excited about discovering who they are and what they are uniquely good at, interested in meaningful work that benefits their community, and passionate about working across differences. LEAF is an organization that engages and inspires youth leaders to create resilient and innovative communities and local food systems.

  • Able to work 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) with the occasional evening and Saturday requirements from June 9th – August 8th, 2024

What We Expect:

  • You will head a diverse group of teenagers who work together over the summer on our farm, at partner farms, during culinary lessons, public outreach events and educational workshops
  • You will support staff in facilitating workshops, leading games and check-ins and spear heading team building activities
  • You will create a positive and healthy culture within your crew where everyone feels comfortable to be their true, full authentic self – includes one on one coaching and group dynamic work in service of their leadership development

Compensation: $15/hour and a weekly allotment of produce from our farm

Housing: LEAF is has a couple of housing options available to crew leaders. We will work with you to find the best solution!

Dickinson Students interning at LEAF can apply for supplementary funding through the College, including for housing and to support internship experiences.
