“Our internship program helps students gain experience in all facets of sustainability at Dickinson, including social, economic and environmental. We are looking for a diverse team of dedicated, motivated, and creative individuals of all majors! This is an incredible professional development opportunity, and we have fun too! CSE employs students to work on projects ranging from minimizing waste to conducting outreach to student groups, employees and the community. We need students with skills in digital media, data analysis, campaign creation and event planning. Looking for students with attention to detail and a passion to work on sustainability issues. We are looking for leaders to coordinate The Hive, Dickinson Free xChange, The Handlebar and the Eco-Reps programs and help with media, communication and data analysis. We will also work hard to find projects, opportunities, and professional development that is right for you.”
Positions:
- Biking@Dickinson: Management of The Handlebar (our campus bicycle co-operative), coordination of biking listserve, Bike to Farm Potluck, Green Bike Program and bike storage.
- Communications and Outreach: Expanding campus-wide knowledge of sustainability initiatives through social media, events, newsletters, awareness campaigns, tours and outreach.
- Eco-Reps Coordinator: Lead student, faculty and staff volunteer peer educators working to incorporate sustainability into communities at Dickinson.
- Media Intern: Coordinating campus-wide educational programming surrounding Dickinson sustainability projects and campaigns.
- Sustainability Data Analyst: Collects and analyzes data related to our climate action plan, greenhouse gas emissions and behavior-change initiatives and campaigns.
- The Hive: Coordination of Dickinson’s bee cooperative including volunteer management, beekeeping, grounds keeping and events.
- Waste Minimization: Working to reduce waste across the Dickinson College campus via programs like Dickinson Free xChange.
