The Conservation Program Representative will provide agricultural technical assistance to neighboring conservation districts in order to conserve soil, and to protect and enhance natural resources. They will work actively with farmers to bring them into compliance with environmental regulations while providing a benefit to the landowner. They will be responsible for development and
review of mushroom farm environmental management plans (MFEMP), and will assist in training new resource conservationists with MFEMPs and overseeing the college interns.

The Conservation Program Representative will be responsible to grow the District’s 501(c) 3 by seeking funding through grants as well as non-traditional sources of funding. They will also provide assistance to associated watershed groups, agencies, and private/non-profit organizations.

The selected candidate will hold a BS degree in environmental science or a natural resources related field and have strong mathematical and analytical skills. It is preferred that the candidates have the following certifications; Certified Conservation Planner, Final Certified Act 38, and have USDA
Engineering Job Approval. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license.

The position requires time spent in the field on possible rough terrain. We are looking for a computer literate self-motivated team player with a great attitude and desire to succeed. Direct experience with the agricultural industry and bilingual capabilities are desired.

Salary range available beginning at $51,475.84 annually based on education and experience.
