Applications for the Summer 2015 session of\u00a0<\/span>the Middlebury School of the\u00a0<\/span>Environment\u00a0<\/span>are now being\u00a0<\/span>accepted here: http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/environment\/apply<\/a><\/span>

We are looking for any\u00a0undergraduate students who may be<\/span>
interested in a for-credit summer program that combines coursework in<\/span>
environmental studies with leadership and professional skills training.<\/span>

This is a six-week, integrated program from J<\/span>une 19 to July 31, 2015 at\u00a0<\/span>Middlebury College in Vermont.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nine semester-hour credits (3 courses)<\/span>
Need-based grants are\u00a0<\/span>available: <\/span>http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/environment\/financial_aid<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Both Introductory and Advanced Tracks of study<\/span>

During our inaugural session, we offered an intermediate\/advanced<\/span>
curriculum of courses (<\/span>http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/environment\/curriculum<\/a>)<\/span>
as well as workshops with environmental and leadership<\/span>
practitioners (<\/span>http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/environment\/faculty<\/a>)\u00a0such as Gus<\/span>
Speth, Bill McKibben, Helen Riess, Alden Woodrow, Mary Hurlie, Kenny<\/span>
Williams, and Jack Byrne.<\/span>

Specific courses in this track included two core courses \u00ad Sustainability<\/span>
Practicum and Understanding Place: Lake Champlain \u00ad and a choice of one<\/span>
of two electives: Environmentalism and the Poor, and International<\/span>
Environmental Negotiation.<\/span><\/p>\n

For summer 2015, we are adding a second track of study, an introductory<\/span>
track (<\/span>http:\/\/www.middlebury.edu\/environment\/curriculum<\/a>)\u00a0for students<\/span>
without prior college-level environmental coursework.\u00a0 Students will<\/span>
enroll in two core courses \u00ad Introduction to Environmental Analysis and<\/span>
Systems Thinking Practicum \u00ad as well as an elective.<\/span>

for the coming summer in fields from across the spectrum of environmental<\/span>
studies, including natural science, social science, humanities, and the<\/span>
