The Ecology, Evolution, Environment & Society (EEES) graduate program at Dartmouth College (New Hampshire, United States) seeks applicants for fully funded PhD in political ecology within the program\u2019s Environment and Society research cluster, beginning in September 2027.\u00a0\u00a0Candidates interested in pursuing critical qualitative research in political ecology on topics related to land tenure, river politics, environment & health, race and the environment, environmental justice, and\/or development are especially welcome to apply, though all strong applicants will be considered.\u00a0\u00a0Regional focus is open, though faculty expertise is in sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Northeastern United States. Candidates should have a demonstrated capacity for independent, original inquiry, and a commitment to interdisciplinary analytical frameworks, such as political ecology and Science and Technology Studies (STS).\u00a0\u00a0A Master’s degree in one of the environmental social sciences (e.g., geography, environmental studies, anthropology, or environmental\/rural sociology) is preferred, but not required; some previous coursework, research, or professional experience in development, environmental policy, and\/or community organizing is welcome.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
