The GREEN Program<\/a>\u00a0invites you to join us in the remote volcano archipelago of Hawai\u2019i this June. Hawai\u02bbi\u2019s\u00a0sequestered location is\u00a0a fascinating case study for agriculture and energy independence as it\u2019s own microcosm of the world home to its\u00a0unique Polynesian culture.\u00a0As an island-state that\u00a0imports 90% of their food a nd exports 80% of their agricultural production, combined with\u00a0increased efforts of farming infrastructure and technology, the state of Hawai\u2019i is on the mission towards food and energy security.\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

In conjunction with our\u00a02017 Hawai’i Pilot Program, we will be partnering with the\u00a02017\u00a0World Youth Congress<\/a>. GREEN Hawai’i students\u00a0will\u00a0be delegates at the Congress and represent the next generation of sustainability leadership<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
