To articulate its vision, RSP mobilizes women to address deeply rooted racism and internalized racism, sexism, environmental\/food injustice, and other social determinants of health that perpetuate silence and inaction surrounding these diseases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About this\u00a0<\/strong><b>position<\/b>: This 30 hour per week position will expand RSP\u2019s work on Black women\u2019s reproductive health and the intersections with environmental justice. The Manager works in partnership with RSP staff to design programs, collect data, engage with the community, conduct outreach, represents the organization at key meetings and community events. This new position is ideal for an initiative-taking individual who is a self-starter and requires minimal supervision. This position reports to the Executive Director and the Director of Programs. Community Building, <strong>Collaboration, and Programming<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Serve as an organizational liaison to program participants, partners, and colleagues.<br \/>\n\u2022Actively participate in coalitions and partnerships with academic institutions, research institutions, and organizations engaged in environmental justice work.<br \/>\n\u2022Develop and host workshops, webinars, trainings and community meetings on reproductive health<br \/>\nand environmental justice.<br \/>\n\u2022Conduct outreach to student groups on college campuses to bring attention to the reproductive health inequities and burdens Black women and girls face in conjunction with exposure to environmental toxins.<br \/>\n\u2022Support community partners developing legislation limiting environmental toxins in cosmetics and<br \/>\nother environmental health issues.<br \/>\n<strong>Communications, Social Engagement, and Outreach<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Communicate RSP\u2019s programmatic aims and objectives regarding the intersection of reproductive health and environmental toxins to participants, colleagues, and the public.<br \/>\n\u2022 Create and distribute educational materials regarding the impact of environmental toxins on<br \/>\nreproductive health.<br \/>\n\u2022 Share RSP\u2019s environmental justice messaging across traditional and social media platforms.<br \/>\n\u2022 Increase the number of social media influencers who are sharing information on RSP\u2019s work.<br \/>\n\u2022 Create video content regarding consumer products containing endocrine-disrupting chemicals that<br \/>\nare marketed to Black women and girls.<br \/>\n<strong>Community-Based Research and Knowledge Building<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct community-based research within communities of color on environmental toxins and<br \/>\nreproductive health using surveys, focus groups and other forms of data collection in collaboration<br \/>\nwith health and science research institutions.<br \/>\n\u2022 Create materials for distribution to the public on RSP\u2019s environmental justice work.<br \/>\n\u2022 Stay updated on issues related to environmental justice, reproductive health, and chemicals of<br \/>\nconcern.<br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Commitment to RSP\u2019s mission, including a deep understanding of reproductive justice.<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Public Health or Environmental Science.<br \/>\n\u2022 Two years\u2019 experience coordinating programs and providing educational workshops, presentations,<br \/>\nand training.<br \/>\n\u2022 Two years\u2019 experience conducting community-based research within communities of color.<br \/>\n\u2022 Two years\u2019 experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.<br \/>\n\u2022 Exceptional writing, editing, oral and proofreading skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proficient with social media tools and Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel and<br \/>\nPowerPoint, knowledge of Canva a plus.<br \/>\n\u2022 Desire to work as part of a team in a culturally diverse organization, including building relationships<br \/>\nacross lines based on race, class, gender, sexual orientation, age, and ability.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to communicate about, complex, or controversial issues, with accountability and deference to those most impacted by those issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Ability to deliver quality products on tight deadlines<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To Apply: Send a resume and cover letter to Fiona Almeida, falmeida@rsphealth.org, with the subject line \u201cEnvironmental Justice and Reproductive Health Manager.\u201d In your cover letter please specifically address why you are interested in this position, what you find compelling about our work, and why your skills are a match.
