During the two-week tour, the band performs at regional farms and related venues to help promote community-driven sustainable agriculture, farm markets and other local-food initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>They found an enthusiastic audience at Dickinson, reports Jen Halpin, director of the Dickinson College Farm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We thought that this was a great idea and we wanted to support their initiative by creating a community celebration,&#8221; says Halpin. &#8220;It was inspiring to see such a diverse crowd gather over food and be inspired by such vibrant music.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hoe Down at the Farm Dickinson Website HoeDown at the Farm The College Farm&#8217;s hoedown was a toe-tappin&#8217;, lip-smackin&#8217; success.
