Professor Kamaal Haque of the Department of German was graciously invited by the Gherdëina Local Heritage Museum in northern Italy to give the introduction to the Luis Trenker film screening. Luis Trenker, a famous film producer and alpinist, was a pioneer of the German Bergfilm (“mountain film”) genre and the Gherdëina Museum created an exhibition to present his films and archives. As a part of this exhibition, Professor Haque also gave a lecture in German. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement!
